I was trained in FGC in 2008 and have enjoyed practicing as a facilitator in Family Group Conferences. I believe in families having a voice in their own planning and love the values and philosophy of FGC. I believe it is a right of a child to have a FGC offered so all who love and care for them can get together to come up with a plan to ensure they are safe. Families have great strengths and know their children best. I have been working with children and their families for the past 15 years as a Children’s Worker at Merrymount Children’s Centre, as a Child Advocate at two separate Women’s Shelters and I worked as a WrapAround Facilitator for 6 years. I appreciate the opportunity to work with families in Family Group and am excited that this opportunity is available to them.
